Custom rugs
If you can draw it,I can tuft it
Send a photo, a screenshot, a scribble on a napkin. It comes back as a wool rug with a carved edge and a proper bound finish — not a printed mat.
You send the idea
A photo, a character, a logo, your dog. We agree the size and the colours, and I send back a mockup before a single loop goes in.
The design goes on the cloth
Monk's cloth gets stretched drum-tight on the frame and the design is drawn straight onto it, full size. This is the last easy part.
Then it gets punched, loop by loop
The gun drives yarn through the backing, row after row, colour by colour. A 60 cm rug is a few thousand loops. You are watching it happen.
Glue, carve, bind, ship
Backing glue goes on (my least favourite day), the pile gets carved to shape, the edge is bound, and it ships to you.
Rugs that already exist
Every one of these started as somebody sending a picture and asking "could you make this?"
How big are we talking?
Pick whichever is closest when you enquire — we can adjust it once I've seen your idea. Every rug is quoted individually.
Turnaround is usually 7–10 days once the design is signed off, depending on the size of the rug. Rush jobs are sometimes possible — ask, and be nice about it.
Things people ask before ordering
Can you copy any character or image?
Almost always, yes. I'll adapt it so it reads well in wool — fine detail gets simplified, because a rug is not a print. For anything commercial or branded, you'll need to have the rights to it.
What are the rugs actually made of?
Acrylic and wool yarn on monk's cloth — the same materials in our tufting starter kits — with a glued secondary backing and a bound edge. They're built to be walked on — but plenty of them never touch a floor at all. Hung on a wall they work just as well as a piece of art, and most people who commission a character rug end up putting it up rather than down.
How do I look after it?
Vacuum without the beater bar, shake it out, spot-clean with a damp cloth. Don't put it in a washing machine unless you want a much smaller rug.
Do you need a deposit?
Yes — half up front once the mockup is approved, half before it ships. The mockup itself is free.
Do you ship outside the city?
Yes — anywhere in India, and internationally too. Shipping is charged at cost and added to the final invoice; international orders cost more to send, so I'll confirm that figure with your quote before anything is made.
Tell me what you want made
Fill this in and I'll come back with a mockup and a quote. No obligation, no deposit until you've seen the design.
Attach a reference photo if you have one — it is the single most useful thing you can send. Prefer to talk instead? Message me on WhatsApp.
